Can I create a custom light pattern and save it as MIDI data in a sequencer?

Using the ShowPlayer software, it is possible to create and upload new patterns. Those patterns are stored in non-volatile RAM for later use, even if you turn the power off. You can change the active pattern as part of the MIDI stream.

When and why would I want to connect two drumlights strips together?

Connecting two strips together minimizes response time and maximizes the display of your drumlights. You can “daisy-chain” the strips together for use on a large drum, or control many strips with one “master” and many “slaves”. Please download the ShowPlayer user manual to learn more.

Do the drumlights have to be on the drums; why do you allow for external sensor input?

An external sensor will allow you to create your own trigger on something other than a drum; your imagination is the limit. Drumlights can be activated by software or by triggers placed at remote locations. Theoretically you could have your entire drumlights setup triggered by a single drum.
